Want to personalize your email correspondence with applicants? You can easily set a custom "from" name that will appear on all outgoing messages sent from your account. If you prefer to leave this blank, don’t worry—your emails will automatically use the hiring manager's name, as it's set up in their profile.


A couple of things to keep in mind: 

  • This is what we call a "Global Setting", meaning that changing or adding a custom "from" name will apply to all users in your account, not just you.
  • This will not impact the email address they view in any way, only the display name.


Steps to Set Up a Custom "From" Name

  1. Click the hamburger icon (three horizontal lines) to access the menu and select Account Details.
  2. Scroll down to find the Customize & Design section and select Advanced.
  3. In the field labeled Custom Email "From" Name" type in the name you want applicants to see. Beware: this will be the same name for all users on your account, not only for you.

  4. Don’t forget to hit Save—we know it’s tempting to just click away!


Example:

If you set the "from" name to Acme Recruiting, that’s the name applicants will see in their inbox when you reach out.
