Someone wise once said that a photo is worth a thousand words. Here are some quick and easy instructions for those times when you need to add an image to your job posting description in order to convey an additional thousand words without all that extra text.

Add an Image to a Job Posting Description

1. Edit an existing job posting or Create a new job posting.

2. Make sure your image is hosted online and has its own URL.

If your image is not yet hosted online, here are some free online sites that you can use to host your image so you have a unique URL for the image:

To insert an image, place your cursor where you would like your image to appear in the job description. Click on the Image icon on the Job Posting Description toolbar.

In the Insert Image URL popup window, paste in the image URL into the Source (URL) box and click Insert.

NOTE: You do not want to use the viewer URL, but the HTML image URL, otherwise it will link back to the page your image is hosted on, but not to the image itself.

Once you select the HTML image URL you want to use only the image URL portion that is underlined in red.

If you would like to have the image go to an associated web page when clicked, you can add a webpage link to the Link (URL) box (the webpage must be associated with the image and the company, otherwise some job boards will not accept the job posting).

Make any other changes to the job you desire while on the Edit Job page and when finished, click Save and Continue

That's all there is to it!

Note: Advanced users can click the HTML icon and add HTML directly.
