Someone wise once said that a photo is worth a thousand words. Here are some quick and easy instructions for those times when you need to add an image to your job posting description in order to convey an additional thousand words without all that extra text.

Add an Image to a Job Posting Description

1. Edit an existing job posting or Create a new job posting.

2. Make sure your image is hosted online and has its own URL. 

If your image is not yet hosted online, here are some free online sites that you can use to host your image so you have a unique URL for the image:

3. Insert the image URL into the job posting description section. You've got 2 ways to do this. 

a) The first way is to simply place your cursor where you want the image to go in the job posting description text and then paste the URL. Then you add one exclamation mark at the beginning of the pasted URL and another one at the end, like this: 


If you want to name the image so that the image name shows up when you hover your cursor over the live image on the job posting page, enter text in between the parentheses in the following format: !!

b) The second way is to use the formatting toolbar. Click on the image icon on the Job Posting Description toolbar.

In the popup window that asks you for the image URL, paste in the image URL into te Source, Title or Link and click Insert.
